Postdoctoral/PhD Positions in Statistics/Applied Probability

Applications are invited for:
1. a Postdoctoral position
2. a PhD position

in statistics/applied probability at the Institute of Mathematics of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). The appointments are available from 1 September 2008 (an earlier starting date is possible). Postdoctoral appointments are between 1-3 years, while the period of PhD studies is normally 3 years. The EPFL offers highly competitive salaries for Postdoctoral positions, and highly competitive scholarships for PhD studies.
