meeting on Data Mining. This symposium aims to bring statisticians
and data analysts in contact with the latest methods and
developments in data mining. Data mining methods are being used in
many different areas. State-of-the art applications in different
fields such as marketing, finance, and computational biology will
be presented. Data mining methods and applications will be
discussed by Luc Bauwens (Catholic University of Louvain), Leo
Breiman (UC Berkeley), Bernard De Baets (Ghent University), Jerome
