Topic
Contributed Paper Sessions |
 |
In addition to the usual Contributed
Paper Sessions, theJSM 2003 also provide Topic Contributed
Paper Sessions. The idea is to organize contributed paper
sessions on specific topics of interest. These sessions
might be more focused with an intense discussion, as compared
to the usual contributed sessions with more or less related
talks. We encourage participants of the JSM 2003 to organize
such Topic Contributed Paper Sessions. In order to do so,
one should:
Send the proposed session topic with a brief description
to Lutz Duembgen, duembgen@stat.unibe.ch and
copy to Jane-Ling Wang, wang@wald.ucdavis.edu. The
proposal should contain the following information:
- A short description of the session including: The
proposed session title and a brief session summary,
- Name and contact information (affiliation, mailing
address,
telephone number, fax number, email address) for the session
organizer and chair.
- Name and contacting information (affiliation, mailing
address, telephone number, fax number, email address)
of five presenters (four speakers plus one discussant,
or five speakers) who would like to present a contributed
talk on the given topic. (A full session takes 110
minutes, and at least 10 minutes should be reserved
for a floor discussion.)
- Titles and authors of the papers to be presented. After
the session has been approved, please make sure that
all speakers submit their paper abstracts to the
JSM 2003 website:
http://www.amstat.org/meetings/jsm/2003/index.cfm?fuseaction=abstracts
The definite deadline for all this is February 1,
2003. |
